Case Studies

Heather Cole
Over the course of 3 days, we created all of the visual marketing assets for Heather Cole's EP. We started with several weeks of virtual brand consulting, creating a brand deck for Heather and locking in the story she wanted to tell with this project, both from a broad holistic perspective as well as a song-by-song basis. With our brand message & visual world locked in, Heather flew out from Nashville to kick off her 3 Day Weekend.

Day 1: Photoshoot + Content
We spent the day with Heather & our stylist, selecting looks for each of her single art photos as well as general promo photos for the EP. We had pre-selected some looks virtually, but honed in on what Heather liked best in person. From there, she went to hair & makeup at the photo studio. We then had a multi-hour photoshoot, getting all of Heather's single art & promo photos, and shooting short-form vertical content in each look, capturing vertical performance videos for each song.
Day 2: Music Video
We got to the studio early to kick off our music video shoot day, setting up 2 sets on the soundstage to use the space as efficiently as possible. During our setup, Heather shot live acoustic vertical content with our team. Once we were all set, we jumped into our shoot, with Cherryland directing behind the camera.

Day 3: Content Shoot
On our final day, we shot vertical content for all of Heather's singles. Starting at Cherryland HQ, we filmed a series of lip syncs, live performance videos, and general storytelling & concepts inspired by the songs. Transitioning seamlessly from day to night, we spent our evening capturing specific concepts surrounded by West Hollywood's city lights & nightlife.
Post-Weekend Strategy
Following Heather's 3 Day Weekend, we spent several weeks creating a rollout strategy for her EP, including big picture marketing concepts alongside a structured calendar to guide her through promoting the record on social media.
In total, Heather got home from her 3 Day Weekend with:
30 short-form vertical videos
15 promo photos
3 single cover photos
1 music video

The Cherryland 3-Day weekend allowed me to fully immerse myself as the artist & relax knowing all the creative vision and logistics of the weekend were fully handled. Flying back to Nashville knowing that I had enough content for 3 releases, a music video and single covers was such a good feeling.

QUENBY
Mixing things up for this 3 Day Weekend, we split our time between LA and Montana to create homegrown content for QUENBY's debut album. Based in Livingston, MT, and splitting her time in LA, QUENBY has been touring and releasing music for years with different projects, forging her path as an Americana outlaw - but this is her first album under her new moniker. For this new project, we spent several weeks before the trip doing a brand tune-up with her and diving deep into her story as a musician, activist, & community leader.

Day 1: Photoshoot + Content
We started in LA, working with our Cherryland HQ crew to take promo photos that captured QUENBY's rebellious spirit and ability to create magic in any location. During this shoot, we also got the shot that ended up on the album cover.
Day 2: Content Shoot
We arrived in Montana and immediately jumped into a content shoot in QUENBY's home studio & neighborhood of Paradise Valley, complete with the Absaroka Mountains as our backdrop.

Day 3: Content Shoot
Rather than shooting a music video, QUENBY opted for a second day of content while we were up in Montana. For this shoot, we went into town and captured QUENBY in her element with her community in Livingston and Paradise Valley, going to local music hotspots and capturing life in Big Sky Country.
